8:59 am - January 07, 2004 And that's all I have to say about that. In other news... I was in my dad's room last night printing off D and I's bridal registry so D could look at the stuff that I added to it (for those that want to see it, if you know my first and last name, go to: Bed, Bath & Beyond and click on "Bridal registries" and you can look mine up). My dad was sitting on his bed, and all the monthly bills were just sort of strewn across the floor and bedspread. All of a sudden, he looks up at me and says, "The heating bill was $165 bucks this month." And I look at him and think to myself, "Ok...." So I say, "Wow that's good, a lot of people's bills are close to $400 bucks." And I'm telling myself that he is NOT asking me for more money. I already gave him some earlier in the month. He keeps giving me this look like it's my fault the electric bill was so high. Um, ok Dad, in order to live in a house the tempature needs to be 70 degrees so I don't freeze, and you're darn right I'm going to turn on lights when I need them. I walked out of there before he could bug me about money. I mean, really. Bug ME? For money? Give me a break! I'm the kid. Who is paying for half of a wedding herself, who is trying to save so that her husband and herself can buy appliances when they move into the house, who is trying to save so that she can stay at home with the babies and not work, and trying to save to pay off her credit cards, school loans, and truck loan. Seriously. Fuck. Bah. Oh, also. D and I dropped our house plans off at the contractors house last night, and he said he could start in April. And have the house done by the end of July, middle of August. Sweet. Now, today is my day off work, and I have lots of things to do. Phone calls to make, deserts to create (just call me Betty), and etc, etc, etc. :)
